Who We Are Rescue/Recreation Involving Deserving Equine (RIDE)
is a volunteer driven network of: - professionals
- rescuers
- trainers
- owners and
- educators.
We joined forces in 2008 to promote: - responsible
horse ownership
- therapeutic and/or recreational activities and
- outdoor opportunities that involve nature and horses.
Our commitment to the horse has made us who we are today, and will help make RIDE the organization of choice for
horse owners and non-owners alike.
Board of Directors
Mary Jones, President (belleequestrian@yahoo.com) Mary is from Rochester and has formal training and experience in real estate,
personal finance and business management. Mary currently is pursuing an exciting career change to the field of mental
health to facilitate the growth of RIDE's programming side. Mary is a lifelong horse lover, owner and rider who
has over 10 years experience working nationally with horse advocacy and rescue groups. Rowdy Yates, Treasurer (rowdydog36@yahoo.com) Rowdy is a former professional wrestler and business
owner with education in law enforcement and behavioral modification. Rowdy has a passion for the outdoors and providing
therapeutic, recreational and enrichment activities for individuals with mental or emotional handicaps. Dawn
Sanborn (outtathebarn@aol.com) Dawn is our Renaissance Woman and is currently a Graduate Student in Human Development at St. Mary's University.
Dawn also holds Professional Certificates in Therapeutic Coaching, Hypnotherapy, and Eagala Level 1, plus is an active
Practitioner of Neuro-linguistics and Reiki Therapy. She holds a BA in Art and features this via her work as a professional
photographer...and believes that animals are the greatest gift in life! Neil Jones (neilljones@gmail.com) Neil is a Sr. Systems Administration Consultant with over 25 years experience in computer networking, teambuilding
and business administration. Neil believes all kids need outdoor activities and a chance to experience life on a farm. Kay Peterson Kay is a District Manager with
over 20 years experience with Retail Field Management. Kay also manages a dog sanctuary called Gracie’s Home where
for the past 5 yrs she has made a safe, loving home for life for unwanted dogs with special needs. Currently the proud
caretaker of 6 dogs, 4 horses and 2 cats, Kay lives a country lifestyle which along with animals is the driving force in her
life.

Our MissionTo support the Equine Rescue efforts of Minnesota Law Enforcement while providing
and promoting Educational, Recreational, Rehabilitative, Therapeutic, Outdoor and Equine related programs for horses, horse
owners, and the public. - Honest, confidential.

RIDE’s 2009 GoalsTo provide rescue and rehabilitation for horses in emergency
need while encouraging and educating on safe, responsible horse ownership. To recruit people
with vision and integrity to further develop our recreational, therapeutic and outdoor opportunities for individuals. To
provide innovative programs that involve horses, particularly those horses given a second chance in life.
Advisory CouncilRIDE's Advisory Council is comprised of professionals who support the horse and nature center learning
programs RIDE offers. Our Advisors provide leadership support and technical information to the Board of Directors, strengthening
our decision making process. Dr. Jason Eden is a Professor of History
who enthusiastically supports the development of students and families, and promotes the used of horses to strengthen relationships. Brenda Cimbura has a Masters Degree in Human Communications and
uses this in her work as a speaker, communication strategist and executive consultant. She has also taught university
and graduate level classes professionally for over a decade. Kristi
Kitsmiller is a veteran horse woman with hands on rescue and rehabilitation expertise who also brings to the table
business management and networking experience.
We are dedicated to serving the horses and humans of SE Minnesota. Our goals are based on YOU!
