Rescue/Recreation Involving
Deserving Equine is a new and exciting non-profit addition to the SE Minnesota Equestrian
Community. Promoting the rescue and rehabilitation of horses in need and the advancement of animal assisted therapeutic
programming for humans, RIDE's work is entirely volunteer driven, and donor
funded. Our network of foster homes, care providers, therapists and other volunteers help humans and
horses in a variety of situation with many levels of need.
We invite you to join our
team!
RIDE supports SE Minnesota's Equestrian organizations to promote
fun and learning opportunities that involve horses. RIDE has volunteer opportunities available
for current horse owners and riders and those interested in learning more about horses and horse ownership, or considering
adoption of one of our animals.
Since it's formal inception in 2008, RIDE has voiced a commitment
to offering cutting edge animal assisted therapeutic recreational and outdoor programs to the public plus rehabilitation
services to horses in need and education for their owners. RIDE's goal is to promote an outdoor and animal
involved lifestyle while educating to encourage safe, healthful horse (and other animal) ownership and human relationships.
Remember only law enforcement may remove a horse or other farm animal for neglect or abuse, not a RIDE volunteer!
